-As pointed out in previous sections and videos, unlike neurosurgery and cardiac surgery which have medical branches (neurology and cardiology), there is no medical branch to orthopedics.  We argue that the current musculoskeletal exam is based on identifying surgical disease.

-The functional movement exam is based first on gross evaluation of neurologic functions and functional movements before examining individual joints.  It is examining the kinetic chain and neuromuscular control.
